They are making Progress!

We came back from Thanksgiving at my parents and a lot of work had been completed on the house.  The cabinents are painted. The fireplace mantel is almost finished being installed.  The bathrooms have all been tiled (shower and floor).  The balcony from the gameroom has been tiled.  I am really excited about the tile in my stand up shower (the little tiles).  Life is good.  I go for an ultrasound tomorrow again.  I can't wait to see how much the baby has grown!

TGIF!!!!

I am SOOOOO happy it is Friday!  The workers are working hard on the house.  The carpenter said that we will get our cabinents on Wednesday!!!!!!  They are doing the molding and closet shelves today.  There is SOOOOO much trim in the house!!!!  I guess they will finish the brick next week.  It is starting to really feel like a home.  Brad went to the Woodlands tonight to play in Abbey's parents v.the girls game.  Tomorrow is Abbey's last soccer game for the season.  My husband is so awesome.  He has gone to every game (even when it is not his weekend and we live over an hour away).  Tomorrow he is taking me on a date:)))))

We are having a baby!!!!!

Brad and I are pregnant!!!!! We are thrilled!!!!  When I first met Brad, I told him that I wanted at least another baby.  He was completely happy with having four and felt that I was crazy.  I then agreed with him.  However, as time went by, I started to have baby fever.  Brad did not have baby fever.  One thing that most people probably don't know about Brad is how spiritual he is.  He is VERY spirtual.  He prays a lot to God, especially when he is torn about something.  One night this summer, Brad and I were hanging out on our apartment porch having a glass of wine and just talking.  We were just really enjoying hanging out together.  Out of the blue Brad said "I think I want to have another baby."  Apparently he had been praying a lot about it and he felt we should.  He said "we will never regret having a child but down the road, we will prbably regret it if we don't." I am due July 15th.

Our house is coming along.  The drywall and texture our done in the house.  The carpenters were working today and installed most of the doors in the house.  I think they will probably do the molding on Thursday and Friday.  Maybe we will get cabinents next week:)  The brickers have been working hard.  I think they may be done Friday or Saturday.  The middle part of our house (the section above and below the front door will be stone (just like the bottom of the house).  I can't wait to see how it looks!!!  Life is good:)))  God is good:)))

Brad and I went to a Halloween Party on Saturday.  We had a blast!!!!!  Today Will and I didn't have school so we hung out.  I took him to the Lego Store in the Galleria so he could spend his birthday giftcard from the Wilsons.  We then had lunch at a really neat cafe (Empire Cafe).  Finally, I voted.  It was awesome to see the long line of Americans participating!  I am so thankful for my family.  My husband Brad is the most amazing husband...words cannot describe how thankful I am to have met him.  I am also so thankful for my kids.  They are sooooo wonderful.  Each is so special and unique.

End of October and our House

October was a little slow with our house.  Two weeks of the month were devoted to inspections.  The other two weeks were devoted to electrical and plumbing.  Today they started the sheet rock!!!! We are sooooooo excited!!!!  Brad and I picked out the following pavers to have our back yard done in.  We are having the patio that is covered paved with this stone and then extended.  There will be a path way to a firepit that will built.

Spicewood and a Family Weekend

We spent the weekend in Spicewood, TX.  We rented a house (Corrin, Dave, Tara, and Lance...and all of the kids).  We celebrated Allison and Abbey's brithdays.  The house was fantastic.  It was perfect for a large group.  We went to a pumpkin farm on Saturday.  The kids had a blast participating in different fall activities.  We visited the Spicewood Winery Saturday afternoon.

Today we stopped by the house and there were bathtubs up stairs installed!!!!!!!!!!

We should have a roof tomorrow!!!!

We went to the house today and the shingles of the roof are on top of the roof ready to be nailed down!!! WHOOO WHOOO!!!  The plumbing is done and some of the electrical.  Brad and I took pictures of our backyard to figure the space out.  We are meeting the landscape guy on Friday:))))))

It's raining but I am ok because it is Sunday!

Brad and I had a fantastic weekend.  On Friday, Will, Brad, and I went to the Outback Steakhoues for dinner.  The food was really good and was a nice to end the week like that.  We were suppose to go to Abbey's soccer game but it got rained out.  We met up with some friends for lunch Saturday afternoon.  Later on in the evening we went to Cypress Creek Lakes to take  pictures of Paige for homecoming.  There were six girls that met up at one of the girl's houses.  The mother cooked dinner for the girls.  The girls (and parents) were super nice and made us feel very welcome.  Christian and Tracy were also there and we were joking around about Paige showing up with four parents:)  Today we stopped by the house.  Hopefully we will have brick and a roof this week.  I am including pictures of the water from the balcony in the back of our house.  WE WILL NOT have this view when the houses around us are built.  It is nice to have in now, though:))) It is raining today but I don't mind because the workers don't work on Sunday.  The forecast for this week is sunny all week:)  Life is really good.  God is even better:)  Thank you Lord for everything!

The house is coming along!

We are so thrilled that there is a lot of progress on the house.  This week they worked on installing the windows and putting the covering on the boards (framing).  We are excited that the weather shows sunshine for all of next week so hopefully we will get a roof and brick soon.  Paige is going to the Homecomming Dance at her school tonight with a group of girls that she has become friends. with.  Life is really good.  God is really good:)))

Decorating for the new house

I LOVE LOVE LOVE decorating. I am ordering these things for the new house (living room). We are getting this sectional sofa. It will be in a tan/brown fabric which is pretty similar to what we have right now. The accent pillows will be the white fabric with the reds and green circles. We are ordering this recliner chair with the other fabric that is in the picture. I really wanted a fabric chair that was super comfortable because we spend most of our time in our living room. We are also getting this leather chair for Brad. The last material is the new bedding that I got for our bedroom. I LOVE the reds in this fabric. I am thinking about now putting my purple couch in my master bedroom because it matches this bedding. It was funny because I got the bedding at Steinmart. The quilt was $20.00 and the pillow shams were $15.00. It was crazy that one pillow sham almost cost the same as the entire quilt!

Labor Day Weekend and Tyler, Texas

Over the Labor Day weekend, we drove to mom and dad's new house in Tyler, Texas. It was FANTASTIC! They bought a golf cart that the kids loved driving. We went to the country club pool, swam, and had lunch while the men golfed. Later on in the day, we took the kids fishing. The next day, we went to the club to have brunch. The community is beautiful and the lake is amazing! It is called Lake Palenstine.
